Biogasnalia, a specialized company in waste and by-product management, is a key subsidiary of the Ecoalia Group, which boasts over 25 years of experience in the sector across Spain. Biogasnalia, located in the Villalonquéjar Industrial Park in Burgos, specializes in the production of protein-rich animal meal through thermal processes—an operation that consumes vast quantities of steam.

In a prior move toward energy self-sufficiency, the company implemented a biogas plant some years ago, utilizing anaerobic digestion of organic waste to power its steam generation, effectively replacing significant fossil fuel consumption.

Finding Youdera as the perfect partner, Biogasnalia sought to complete its innovative sustainable energy solution by adding photovoltaic power to its existing green infrastructure. The company utilized Youdera's Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) solution for the installation of a new rooftop solar system.

This strategic PV installation, which utilizes a Rooftop mounting system, has a peak power capacity of 163 kWp. This power source complements the biogas plant, further reducing the company's reliance on the electrical grid and securing its energy supply for intensive thermal processes.
