Key Details

URSA's solar initiative represents a massive step forward in industrial decarbonization, featuring a technical infrastructure that optimizes the use of its production surfaces:

  • Total Installed Capacity: 3,764.04 kWp (distributed across two plants).

  • Glass Mineral Wool Plant: 2,554.74 kWp.

  • XPS Factory: 1,209.30 kWp.

  • Infrastructure: A total of 6,490 solar modules integrated into the facility roofs.

  • Total Annual Energy Generation: Over 5,000 MWh of clean energy (estimated 5,071,300 kWh).

  • Glass Mineral Wool Production: 3,527,894 kWh/year.

  • XPS Production: 1,543.406 kWh/year.

  • Strategic Advantage: This transition allows URSA to shield its operational cost structure from electricity market volatility—equivalent to the consumption of 1,500 Spanish households—strengthening its competitiveness in the construction materials sector.

  • Industry: Construction industry

Environmental Impact

The implementation of this self-consumption system has a direct and measurable effect on regional sustainability:

  • Emission Reduction: Approximately 1,100 tons of CO₂ emissions will be avoided per year.

  • Commitment to the Sector: This commitment to green energy, developed with Youdera, positions URSA as a leader in reducing the industrial carbon footprint, aligning insulation production with a low-emission economy model.
